The Parish Council has been made aware of a tragic incident that occurred on 19th December on the junction outside Lifespring (Warsop Town Hall), in which an elderly resident of Warsop suffered a fall after tripping on a pothole. Sadly, the resident sustained injuries as a result of the fall, and later passed away on 26th December. Our thoughts are with their family and loved ones at this difficult time, and we offer our sincere condolences.
Members recognise the ongoing concerns raised by residents regarding the condition of local roads and pavements. These concerns are shared, and we would like to reassure the community that the issue of potholes has been escalated and discussed with our local County Council representative. We will continue to raise these matters and advocate for necessary action to improve safety within our community.
The matter will be discussed at the next Warsop Parish Council meeting, and we invite residents to attend to share their thoughts. The meeting will take place on Monday 19th January 2026 – 6.30pm at Lifespring Church (Warsop Town Hall).
