Join us in welcoming the Sheriff of Nottingham to Warsop as we celebrate Sherwood Forest Day. The Sheriff will unveil two Sherwood Forest plaques, generously sponsored by local supporters, which will be proudly displayed at two locations in the village.

Many communities across the historic Sherwood area are unaware that they were once part of the great Sherwood Forest. These plaques recognise and celebrate Warsop’s rich history and culture, and the national and international significance of Sherwood Forest and its people.

On Friday 20th February, the Sheriff of Nottingham will join us for the unveilings. A plaque funded through donations to the Warsop Footpaths Group will be unveiled at Vibrant Warsop at 9.30am. A second plaque, sponsored by Thrive Together Community CIC, will be unveiled outside LifeSpring Church (Warsop Town Hall) at 10.00am.

There will also be a reading of the Sherwood Forest Day Proclamation at 12.00pm at LifeSpring Church.

We hope you can join us for this special community celebration.
