How to get involved

Collect your free pre-potted sunflower seeds from one of the following spots…

• Lifespring (Warsop Town Hall) 7th, 8th & 9th April between 9.00am – 1.00pm
• Vibrant Warsop (Portland Street) from 7th April
  

(Please note seeds will not be available to collect on the 6th April as advertised in the Warsop Parish News, as this is a bank holiday).

Let’s Get Growing!

• Plant your seeds in April and care for your sunflower as it grows.
• Share your progress with us on Facebook by posting photos and messages using #WarsopSunflowerChallenge or email your pictures to events.coordinator@warsop-pc.gov.uk
• Keep us updated throughout the summer – we love seeing your growing efforts!

We’re giving out prizes for the tallest sunflower and biggest sunflower head.

Warsop Sunflower Challenge – Terms & Conditions

• The competition is open to Warsop residents.
• To take part, participants must grow their sunflower from the seeds provided and submit a photo showing their entry alongside a tape measure. Height should be measured from soil level to the tallest point, and flower head size measured across the widest point, including petals.
• Entries must be submitted by 12.00pm on 31st August 2026.
• Send your entries to events.coordinator@warsop-pc.gov.uk or send them to us via our Warsop Parish Council Facebook group.
• Winners will be chosen for the tallest sunflower and the largest flower head. The Parish Council’s decision is final.
• We’ll announce the winner on our Facebook page and website the week following the closing date.
• By entering, participants agree that Warsop Parish Council may use submitted photos for promotional purposes, including on social media and the website. Personal data will only be used to administer the competition.

Warsop Parish Council reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time.
