Road Safety Concerns
Warsop Parish Council is aware that parents (and residents generally) are concerned about road safety at drop off and pick up times around schools within the Parish.

In particular, recent issues around Hetts Lane and Meden School (Sandy Lane, Burns Lane and Hetts Lane) due to closer start and finish times and Eastlands / Netherfield schools at the crossing (recent incident). The Parish Council have evidence of dangerous parking and are in contact with the relevant authorities to assess the situation as soon as possible. If you witness people driving or parking dangerously, please report this to Nottinghamshire County Council.We understand getting children to school on time is important, however children’s safety must remain a priority. We urge parents and carers not to park on double yellow lines and not to ‘double park’. In this instance, emergency service vehicles cannot access a property due to space left within the road. Please do not park on pavements so that pedestrians then have to walk on already heavily congested roads.
