Grassroots Community Fund – First Round Awards Awarded
Warsop Parish Council is delighted to announce the successful applicants from the first round of our Grassroots Community Fund, which forms part of the East Midlands Mayor’s Community Development Fund.

With £9,000 available over three years, the fund has been created to support local groups, organisations and projects that bring people together, make a positive difference to our community and help improve the area. We received eight applications for the first round, with some fantastic ideas put forward to benefit people across Warsop. Thank you to everyone who took the time to apply.
The funding panel met on 17th September to consider the applications, with £4,500 available in this first round. Following discussion, the panel agreed to award:
Paul’s Pit Stop: £1,000
The Oaklands Centre: £500
LifeSpring: £1,500
Warsop Parish Christmas Smile: £1,000In total, £4,000 was awarded, leaving £500 to be carried forward into the next funding round, giving us even more opportunity to support another local project.
Round Two – Applications Open January 2027
The next round of Grassroots Community Fund applications will open on 1st January 2027, with a closing date of 31st January 2027.
Applications will be considered by the funding panel on 11th February 2027, with the successful awards announced shortly afterwards.
