Support for Voluntary Sector Organisations

The Voluntary Sector Development Team at Nottinghamshire County Council supports voluntary sector organisations, groups, and clubs that work with children and young people across local communities.

The team works alongside voluntary organisations to help them grow, develop, and operate effectively. Support is available to both new and existing groups, ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to provide safe and high-quality services.

The Voluntary Sector Development Team can help with:

• Developing and strengthening existing organisations and groups
• Identifying compulsory legal requirements, such as policies and training
• Finding funding opportunities and supporting funding applications
• Signposting to relevant training opportunities
• Arranging DBS clearance for volunteers and paid staff
