Take Time Out – Dementia Help Group
Take Time Out is a friendly weekly support group for carers who look after their loved ones.
Published: 25 February 2026
The group is run by Kevin Gray, a health professional with 35 years of experience and specialist expertise in dementia care.
Carers are warmly invited to come along for a chat, a cuppa, a smile, and the chance to relax with others who understand. There is no need to worry if there is no one available to care for a loved one on the day, they are welcome to come along too.
The group’s aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where carers can talk openly, share experiences, support one another, and even have a whinge if needed. Advice is available when requested, but the focus is on carers supporting each other as a community.
Take Time Out runs 2-hour drop-in sessions every Thursday from 10am to 12pm at Meden Doctors Surgery. The group has been running successfully for three years and continues to welcome new members.
Anyone who would like to chat, connect, and take a little time out is encouraged to come along, and if you can help make a cuppa, even better.
