Budget and Precept 2026-2027:
a) To further discuss the budget and precept options. Agree any further recommendations to take to Full Council 16th February There was a discussion regarding the general budget and a breakdown of events costs. Although there was no proposal to change the overall events budget, it was agreed that there may have to be a change of direction for the summer event due to different factors such as costs, timing and service providers. Other ideas were a touring panto and summer fayre or talent show. The Clerk stated the general budget should not change other than virements from one code to another, but in light of the news regarding the successful Mayor’s Community Development Fund application, an additional budget should be established for this project. The F&GP committee recommend Full Council accepts the proposed budget for the 26/27 financial year as £136,748.88 with a precept requirement of £131,500. This equates to a 4.13% increase, or a £1.62 annual increase on a Band D amounting to £40.88 total. |
